Most of today was spent at the smaller exhibits in town.  In the morning we went to the Catalog In Motion exhibit.  It was a hands-on show for jewelry-makers.  Even though we have our fine jewelry work done in Chicago it was good for us to stay up to speed with the industry standards. This show was east of downtown Tucson and the drive gave us a more scenic view of the area.  We also drove through Monthan Air Force Base and saw nearly as many planes as gems for the day.

Another "off-the-beaten-path" exhibit had a flea-market feel.  It was housed  at a two story hotel where the sliding doors on the ground level were opened and the booths spilled from the outside to inside the rooms.  This show was targeted for the true "rock hounds".  One tent that caught our eye had extremely large crystals.  The one pictured below was selling for $75,000.

There were a few crystals that were finely carved with exquisite detail.  I personally was attracted by the sphere shaped white mineral rock.  I looked into one of these crystal balls and got extremely excited with what I saw!

If this prediction "Bears" true we may go back Monday morning and purchase what ever they have left.

The afternoon was spent looking for a few items that are for some customer requests.  We are excited with what we found and are sure they will be too.

Have a happy Super Bowl Eve!
